Virginia Line of Credit FAQs

Does it cost anything to apply for a line of credit?

We do not charge an application fee, but we do charge a $10 membership fee with every billing statement while your line of credit account is open.

Does my state offer line of credit?

Yes, Virginia currently offers an online line of credit. To apply, fill out and submit our online application form.

What do I need to apply?

You must be 21 or older to apply. To get started, you will need your:

  1. Social Security Number
  2. Proof of income (pay stub, SSI statement, etc.)
  3. A valid email address
  4. Active checking account, open for at least 90 days
  5. Current cell/home and work phone number

How much money can I get with a line of credit?

Check Into Cash currently offers lines of credit in Virginia ranging from $100 – $1000. Your maximum line of credit amount is provided after we process your application.

How long does it take to get a line of credit?

After filling out and submitting our easy online application, you can be approved for a line of credit within minutes.

How do I get the money?

Once you have been approved for a line of credit, you can then choose how much cash you wish to draw from your available credit limit, and the money will be electronically deposited into your active checking account.

Can I still get a line of credit if I have bad credit?

Even if you have bad credit, you may still be able to get the money you need from Check Into Cash, so don’t hesitate to apply!

How often may I request a cash advance pursuant to my line of credit?

As long as your balance has not exceeded your line of credit, you can make as many cash advance requests as you want, whenever you want. Please see your line of credit agreement for details on minimum amount required to process a cash advance.

Do I have to pay down the full amount of my cash advances each month?

There is a minimum payment requirement you must make, just like a credit card. This minimum amount includes the $10 membership fee, 5% of the principal amount you have withdrawn, and any applicable interest on that principal.

What is the interest rate on the money I use?

We will charge simple interest on your account at an annual percentage rate of 299.99%, which is the equivalent to a daily periodic rate of 0.8219%.

How long does a line of credit last?

There is no set term date for a line of credit. So long as your account remains current, you will have access to your line of credit.

How do I close a line of credit?

You may close your line of credit at any time by calling us at 877-577-7977. Please review your line of credit agreement for more information.

Paperless Statements – Line of Credit

What are paperless statements?

Paperless statements enable to you to receive your account statements electronically in lieu of paper statement which is provided via traditional mail. An email notification will be sent to you each month when your statement is available to view online.

How do I sign up for paperless statements?

To sign up for paperless statements, select to receive your statements electronically when you open your account. Once you have enrolled, you will receive an email notification each month when your statement is available to view online.

Will I continue to receive my printed statement in the mail if I sign up for paperless statements?

No, when you sign up for paperless statements you will not receive a paper statement in the mail. If you would like to continue to receive your paper statement, please contact us at 877-262-2274 and will process your request.

Is there a cost associated with receiving paperless statements?

No, paperless statements are provided at no cost to our online customers.

Is there special software required to view my paperless statements online?

Yes, your paperless statement will be provided in PDF format. Thus you will need to have a PDF reader such a Adobe Acrobat Reader™ or Foxit Reader™ installed your computer or device. You may download such software by clicking the link below.

How will I know my paperless statement is available online?

You will receive an email notification when your new paperless statement is available to view online. This email will contain a link to permitting you to log in to your online account. Once logged in, you will be able to view your current and past (up 12 months) account statements.

How do I save or print my paperless statement?

To save your paperless statements, click on the print or save function within the PDF reader you are using to view your statement.

How secure are paperless statements?

Paperless statements are secure because we do not email you an actual statement. You are required to login to your secure and encrypted online account to be able to view your statement.

What if I sign up for paperless statements and then decide I would like to receive paper statements again?

You may decide to receive paper statements at any time at no cost. Contact us to request paper statements at 877-262-2274.

Who do I call if I have questions about my paperless statements?

If you have any questions concerning your paperless statements, please contact us at 877-262-2274.

How long will my paperless statements be available to view online?

Once logged in, you will be able to view your current and past (up 12 months) account statements. If you would like to receive a copy of statements that are older than 12 months, please contact us at 877-262-2274.

How do I dispute account information that is on my credit report??

Contact the Credit Dispute Resolution group in writing at P.O. Box 728, Cleveland, Tennessee 37364-0728.

Include all or as many of the following items as possible when you write to us:

• Complete Name
• Address (Street, city, state, zip code)
• Telephone number
• Date of birth
• Last 4 digits of your social security number
• The specific item or transaction you are disputing

• An explanation of all the facts for why you believe the item is inaccurate or incomplete. (Be as specific as possible, describe what is inaccurate or incomplete and why, and request that it be removed or corrected.)
• A copy of your credit report showing or circling or marking the item (if available), or the date of your credit report (if available)
• Copies of all supporting documents. For example, payment records, cancelled checks, court documents, police reports or an FTC Identity Theft Report, showing that an account was the result of identity theft, bankruptcy schedules showing that an account was included in or discharged in bankruptcy (if available)

Only include copies and do not send original documentation. If we do not receive sufficient information, we cannot investigate your claims. We cannot return any copies from your mailed request.

As a member of CFSA, Check Into Cash abides by the spirit of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) as applicable to collect past due accounts. Delinquent accounts may be turned over to a third party collection agency which may adversely affect your credit score. Non-sufficient funds and late fees may apply. Automatic renewals are not available. Renewing a loan will result in additional finance charges and fees.
